I remember my first exposure to Vidoll was back in 06 when I stumbled on some fan PV site and they had a screen caps for Shutdown off Deathmate. Took a chance on looks ;)
Now that I think about it, that site also exposed me to Icy -cold city- by 12012.(love the internet) I think it took an entire fortnight back in my 56k days to download the video....was youtube even around back then?? The song had a sexy bass breakdown and man when the guitar solo hit.....cloud nine. I'll vouch for Jui's voice any day.
Then the band left Undercode and went major with V.I.D.
Supreme album in every aspect.
Next thing I know Bastard is coming out. It just seemed too soon. I like albums in 2-3 year cycles. Don't want the music to feel like an appendage to their previous effort.
I couldn't believe the news off their dissolution earlier this year.
Shit happens...good terms I hope.
Jui's solo project does though seem a little, "too soon".
Man, I need a setlist.

Backstory: Deftones tickets in KC went on sale back in January. Just like every other band these days, VIP options were made available. http://deftonestix.com/vip Hesitated and the Diamond package slipped away. Bummed, me and Mark settled on the Black package. Low and behold one month later an additional date was added to Denver. Maria pretty much made the call that me and Mark were going to go to Denver. Called Alicia to confirm our hotel reservations and it was game on. Mark scored Diamond and I secured two Blacks(?).

Open Heart(CPU) Surgery

Last Sunday I had a GPU upgrade in preparations for all the new* COD FPS's clones coming out later this year. Everything went smooth like butta, got HOMEFRONT, bitchen....got back into MASS EFFECT....shit's amazing. Then outta the blue my comp shut the fuck down in the middle of an intense battle in Homefront. WTF?!?

While waiting for the boot-up I picked out some rad new tunes for Rock Band. It's amazing the amount of $$$ I've spent on songs. Man I hate DLC with a passion.
Really need to work on my keyboard chops.....
...anyways so I get it going, switch over to Mass Effect. Half hour into it, during an amazing cut scene with the Reaper Sovereign, the damn thing shuts off again. Ok, now I'm worried.

Today I went to Radio Shack and picked up some Artic Silver 5.
Removed my heat-sink and to no ones surprise the old thermal compound had long dried out and was easy to scrape off.
After some man handling trying to get the heat-sink back on properly, I was ready to see some difference in temperatures.

Terrible news out of Japan. Watching these events makes me feel so damn insignificant. All the advances we, the humans, have made cannot prevent or lessen the raw damage Mother Nature afflicts.

Had my first Papa Murphy's pizza.
I always had the notion of "wtf, I aint about to spend cash on something I have to bake myself. Fuck that shit."
Whole heartedly take that all back now. The benefit is the freshness and saving cash on delivery charge and not helping pay Pizza Hut's gas oven bill.
