POWER FAILURE!

August is a bitchy hot month here. With no electricity, a dying cell battery, and too much free time on my hands, I flip out.

Test the water...

Amazing, the sky opened up as I walked inside...Good timing. Love those little moments.
----------------------------

Maybe I can finally get out of this city again come August. Only need to shuffle some vacation weeks around and we'll see. Chicago might be blazing hot but hella worth it or so I tell myself. Also wanna patch some bullshit I left dying(a friendship?) on the floor last year. Too late? Might be.

The dream:
Rent car
Drive to Chicago
See X JAPAN(they play Rusty Nail)
Mend some wounds(maybe over a slice from Lou Malnati's)
See D'espairsRay(they play Tainted World)
Hit up Lou's again
Drive home(without incurring any traffic citations)

The Actuality:

Streetcar Flashback

What is going on here? Why is there a streetcar blocking traffic on my block?!

Loving this sleet-fest the city's having today.

Slipping and sliding for some great eats!

Poncho's has the best fast Mexican food in midtown, hand's down. Their carne asada burrito is killer.

Nice sunset

I was busy reading when I heard Maria complaining about the satellite going out. I am a weather nut so I knew it had to be raining. I ran to the back of the house to check out the action. In the backyard everything was looking pretty normal. I had to see what the front looked like so I raised the garage door...to a killer sunset.
